Yuva Sphurti Kendra IT School celebrates graduation of 5th batch

Satyam exam

Since its inauguration in July 2007, the goal of the DGS Satyam Foundation's Yuva Sphurti Kendra IT School has been to reach a thousand students from urban slums and underprivileged sections of society thus empowering them to pursue higher wage jobs. Students receive basic computer training through InfoTech Enabled Services as well as spoken English instruction. It is the sincere hope of program coordinators that the skills acquired through this course will lead to higher earnings, which will increase family income as well as instilling a sense of self-confidence within these individuals.

On May 27th, 2008, the school came closer to realizing this goal when it celebrated the graduation of its fifth batch of students. With their teachers Mr. Ajay Agawane (English) and Ms. Sarika Pedram (computers) proudly looking on, students received their certificates of achievement and, more importantly, an opportunity to live a better life.
