Health & Eye Camps
Special Health Camps are organised, in collaboration with specialists, for both adults and children. Dermatology, dental, cardiac, paediatric and gynaecological camps have been run in recent years.
The camps are run in both urban and rural settings, and provide opportunities for our target communities to have access to specialist care which would otherwise be probhibitively expensive. Over 800 people attended our Health Camps in 2007/08.
We also run yearly Eye Camps, in association with Vision Aid Overseas. Camps are arranged in urban centres and several rural villages. A team of optometrists from the UK visit our target communities in order to provide optical care.
